Lucy Kaye is a London-based freelance documentary filmmaker. She graduated from the National Film and Television School in 2009 and has since worked with major broadcasters and platforms including the BBC, Channel 4, Vice, and The Guardian. Her work spans a wide range of subjects, from PTSD to horse whispering, reflecting a strong interest in complex human stories. Her films have been screened at festivals worldwide. Her Channel 4 First Cut film received critical acclaim, and her short film Memory Songs was awarded the prestigious Pears Short Film Award. Lucy was also awarded one of only two scholarships to undertake a PhD in Film Practice at the University of Exeter. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the London Film School.
